A fire barrier expansion joint system, Wabo®FlameGuard II is a fire resistive blanket for repair, retrofit, and new installation in structural expansion joints and construction joints in horizontal and vertical plane applications. FlameGuard II is a factory assembled fire barrier system that has been designed to provide the required fire endurance rating, minimize passage of smoke and accommodate dynamic movement without stress or degradation to its components.

FlameGuard II is a 3-4-hour UL-certified expansion joint fire barrier. (For 1-2-hour fire rating see Wabo®FireFlex)

FlameGuard II is tested and certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), to the rigors of UL 2079 for deck/floor and wall expansion joints.

Specify coverplate solutions for pedestrian and vehicular trafficable applications.

Testing

FlameGuard II has been tested and certified under UL 2079 and meet the requirements of ASTM E1966, ASTM E119 and ASTM E1399.  UL 2079, like ASTM E1966, was developed to encompass the fire testing of ASTM E119 and the movement cycling regime of ASTM E1399.

Where UL tested listings do not meet your specific project conditions ask Sika Emseal for an engineered judgment. Engineered Judgments are based on our actual UL 2079 test data extrapolated using Finite Element Analysis modeling.
