5-gallon pails marked with the material size were tied to the rails of the utility lift basket.  From these pails the installers pulled BACKERSEAL to suit the joint sizes being treated.
The massive panelized facade of the Mall of America received over 200,000 LF of BACKERSEAL as a secondary sealant to liquid silicone applied in the field. To order BACKERSEAL in sizes to suit joint variations, the contractor did a survey of a small, typical wall area.  From the percentages of each size in the survey, the contractor ordered materials accordingly.  EMSEAL kept the job continuously supplied based on weekly usage.
