With an expected price tag of over $86 million, the 2005-2006 renovation of the home of the Hawkeyes was serious business. The waterproofing of the stadium expansion joints was entrusted in part to EMSEAL’s DSM System in the precast seating bowl and Colorseal for the exterior walls and parapets.
A subsequent renovation in 2018-2019 saw Emseal invited back and deployment of our full suite of stadium expansion joints: Seismic Colorseal, DSM System with custom tread/riser pieces, Colorseal-On-A-Reel for small joints, Emshield DFR2 for fire-rated conditions, SJS-Sesimic Joint System for areas needing a cover plate, SJS-FR for fire-rated concourses, Horizontal Colorseal for non-trafficked deck-to-wall conditions, and Double-Sided Seismic Colorseal for shallow substrates sealed from both sides.
You could spend less up front on your expansion joints, but you’ll never spend less in the long run with Emseal.
